The European Commission had recently expressed concerns about the open source MySQL database software, which came in January 2008 for one billion dollars into the hands of Sun and goes through the acquisition by Sun now in the protfolio of the database specialist Oracle. In order to deal with MySQL, but also with Java,there had been some infighting example, among developers."
