As a member in an elite software engineering group, one will be responsible for designing and developing the following key components and features of a highly sophisticated software product:
Query Execution
Query optimization
Data Mining
Natural Language processing
Data distribution services
System configuration services
System management services
Parallel processing framework
Concurrency control and transaction recovery
The work is very challenging and complex, involving extensive technical discussions and frequent problem solving.

One is expected to :
Contribute to technical architecture and product strategy
Direct development teams to complete the implementation
Direct quality assurance teams on test strategy and execution
Research and evaluate related and/or competing technologies
Apply new technologies to problems
Assess impact of technology changes

Qualifications required for this position are:
Experience in developing database kernel software
Experience in architecting complex system software
Experience in delivering commercial software product
6+ years of software development experience in C/C++
10+ years of hands-on software development experience
Familiar with Linux and/or Windows
BS in Computer Science or equivalent required
Advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
Ability to grasp new technologies quickly, and willingness to try new ideas and think outside of the box
Good written and oral communication and cross-group collaboration skills
